OUCH!

26 Jan

OK, I know I said I didn’t want to talk about it, but that post was really directed at “negative strangers”. So if you are someone I love or a blog friend, I welcome your advice and conversations…

Now that that’s out of the way, I am only 15 weeks and I’m incredibly uncomfortable already and my hips are so sore, I can barely walk…what do I do??? Bring on the advice people – I’m desperate!

I used lots and lots of large body pillows at night and also the biggest microfiber pillow that I could find all day long. The microfiber pillow was my best friend. I would take it with me to lots of places. It kind of conformed to my constantly changing shape. I could adjust it in so many more ways than I could adjust a regular pillow.

sleeping with a body pillow helps. putting those gel thingys in your shoes. and as already stated massages always help. I used to have my husband rub my lower back almost every night after I took a warm shower. hope you find a remedy that works for you.

I will come over and show you how to use the pregnancy pillow this weekend. I think it will help you sleep more comfortably and most likely relieve you of your hip pain during the day. :-)

Hi. I’m new. Found you at OurCC.

Hope this isn’t unwarrented advice. Your hips are probably sore because your uterus is stretching and the tendons that normally keep that (usually tiny) thing in place are now being forced to stretch. Anyway, that is what my OB told me when my hips/lower outer abdomen was sore with my first preganncy. That part should go away.

Start sleeping on your side, but then again, i think your other commenters have said that too.

Blessings to you and congrats on your pregnancy.

Thanks Sarah! that’s so helpful. My OB didn’t say much about it and the pain is already gone so that must have been it!

    Hey!
I wanted to say that I am sorry if I offended you with my last comment about people giving you advice. That was not my intention at all. I was just thinking about myself, around that time of the month, and how hormonal I get and things frustrate and irritate me but usually its purely hormonal. I figure that when you are pregnant its 10 times worse so when you made the comment, maybe its just hormonal, I figured it was. Thats all. I hope you are feeling good and that you figured out how to make your hips not hurt.
