today is STILL the day the Lord has made

November 12, 2008

My company announced today that our CEO resigned and that they will be laying off 20 – 25% of staff. The layoffs will take place next week.

I have some options here on how I will react…

fearful, paniced, gossiping, angry, frustrated

OR

full of faith, love, peace, joy, patience, self control, kindness etc…

Even if I lose my job next week, I know who my provider is. I am the head and not the tail. Above and not beneath. I am a child of God. I have the mind of Christ. I have Godly favor…there, I said it!

TODAY IS STILL THE DAY THE LORD HAS MADE;
I WILL REJOICE AND BE GLAD IN IT!

    Judi – you are uber talented at what you do, so even if this job goes a different direction, the skills God gave you will serve you well anywhere you go. Your gifts/talents will make room for you.

    the steps of a righteous man are ordered by God. you are made righteous by your faith, so your steps are ordered. that’s a great comfort to me in times of uncontrollable circumstances. He will never leave you or fail you or forsake you. whatever your future, it is ordered of God!

    not that you needed anymore encouragement because you’re already so incredibly encouraged in the Lord. but that’s what friends are for – we continue to lift each other up always.

    Hopefully, you’re not wearing nail polish bc that can make a person nauseous when biting their nails – I have this down to a science. Trust me.
    These next few days hold a rare opportunity for you to press into God & experience Him in some very rich, distinct & deep ways. He knows you’re nervous, but receive these days as His invitation to learn Him more. He loves you more than words.
