Confessions of My Car

9 May

It’s FRIDAY!!!!, and I have a confession to make.

Confession: I have strange, secret behaviors in my car that I would die if others saw me do these things. To name just a few:

  1. I tape record my thoughts in my car (I don’t have a radio so I get bored). It’s so geeky, and if anyone heard these recordings they would make so much fun of me!
  2. I eat quarter lb. double stacks from Wendy’s with no bread (just the meat and cheese goodness). It’s so messy and gross, I would never subject another human to this beastly feast.
  3. I watch TV shows on my iPod Touch while I drive. Yep, it fits so nicely on the speedometer and I only swerve once in a while.  Some times my headphones get wrapped around my steering wheel though which causes panic.
  4. I listen to “How He Loves” in headphones EVERY TIME I am driving to church and sing it at the top of my lungs. This song warms up my voice perfectly, and I cry every single time I hear it. I refuse to listen to this song any other time for fear of it losing it’s luster.

What is your secret behavior!?!?!

PS: I’m still alive with no TV for 2 days. (going through serious withdrawals though)

#3 adds so much argument to your apparent TV addiction!! Would you text me each time you drive? I value my life!! My secret behavior is I love to drive hands-free, using only my knee.

Some how I always end up cleaning/picking up my car while I drive… and then when I get to my next destination I throw it all away and I have yet again a clean car.

(great job with the no TV…)

I have a tendency to change in my car. TMI I know. I often wonder how many truckers have seen far more than they bargained for while passing me.

i do my makeup. i usually only actually do the application part at stoplights, but i will check on my progress while in motion. i also will sometimes put my left foot up on the dash between the steering wheel and window. it’s just comfy.

I talk out loud to myself a lot in the car. It’s where I get a lot of thinking done. A lot of people might do that, I know, but my confession is that a lot of the time I talk as if I’m being interviewed on the given subject. Most of the time it turns into “Behind the Music”.

I get really loud and obnoxious. I find myself just making random noises, not even words. I’m basically autistic in my car.

I multi-task like crazy in my car… not sure though if I have one consistent weird thing that I do

I floss in my car. I have no idea why. It’s soothing and good hygiene. But those still aren’t good enough reasons to do it while I’m driving.

    hmmm

    @Tam

Thanks for the comment. Um…I don’t even know how you would do that. Do you use one of those floss picks or do you wrap the floss around your fingers…..!???!?

    “Pick & Flick”
i also sing lots of falshetto and talk to myself.
I throw trash in the passenger seat foot area.
I throw bio degradable articles out the sunroof.
I listen to holy hip hop songs repeatedly in order to memorize them.

Yes. I keep a pack of flossers in my glove box. Love them! when i’m done i tuck them under my car seat.

ok. that’s kinda nasty. i admit it.

hahaha! Ok, at least they are the flossers you are using and not the traditional floss that you have to wrap around your fingers. I feel safe again.

I’m pretty sure that cars are a secret universe for many people.
